On Friday 24th July a report was received into the office that a mare was in a state of neglect with some open wounds on her body. We tried to act as quickly as possible and with the assistance of the IHWT and members of An Gardai Siochana the mare and newly born foal were removed to safety. She is receiving veterinary care for her wounds and on antibiotics . She is also in need of a full dental.
Hopefully with monitored care and comfort the mare and foal will recover fully.
