Following on from the visit and inspection of our shelter by Mr Peter Hepburn from the Association of dogs and cats home UK, we are delighted to inform our supporters that our application for membership was approved and our shelter and its operations reach the standards required. We look forward to learning and working with the assistance and advice from such experts in the animal welfare kingdom.
Transition Year students from Coláiste Chill Mhantáin visited the shelter in November for a look around and a talk on animal welfare. They decided after seeing the work we do here in Sharpeshill to undertake a fundraising project for us. They produced a beautiful calendar and Christmas cards and presented us with a cheque for funds raised.
Wicklow SPCA wish to thank our Minister Mr Creed and the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine for awarding Wicklow SPCA a grant to help us continue our work. Thank you.
