A man was fined 500 euro and sentenced to 80 community hours service following a conviction for offences under the Animal Health and welfare act in Bray court on Tue 16th July. In 2018 we assisted An Gardai Siochana with this case where the defendant purchased a sheep, brought it home and slaughtered it for his own consumption. There are procedures which must be adhered to when ending the life of any animal and no animal should ever be caused to suffer unnecessary pain.
