Rex arrived in about 2 weeks ago in a horrible state, he's feeling a lot happier now after his makeover. Rex doesn't like travelling in cars and at this stage in his life we don't think that's going to change. He just wants a place to call home and a family to love him the way he deserves .We are sure he will give you back double the love.
Its big and red but not Santa .....we are overwhelmed with the kindness and generosity from the Kavanagh family, owners of James Street Steel for their sponsorship and supply of steel for our new kennels. The Kavanagh family adopted a dog from the shelter a few years ago and we look forward to having them as our guests at our official opening of the new dog kennels in the Spring. CANCELLED Our St. Pawtricks Day Parade is back for the second year running. We will have a little parade here on the grounds of Wicklow SPCA. There will be prizes for the best dressed pooch and also this year there will be a prize for the best dressed child, so get creative ( bonus points for hand made costumes). We will have tea, coffee and snacks available and all proceeds go to Wicklow SPCA. We hope it's as good as last year, if not better. Looking forward to seeing everyone there :)
Over the last number of years we have been very lucky to have Pamela Isdell supporting us on a number of projects. Pamela has a passionate commitment to animal welfare. She was the drive behind the opening of our dog park and we are very lucky again that Pamela is also one of the major supporters in our latest project, the building of our new kennels.
