A little understanding


Wicklow spca are asking for some understanding from the public on the rehoming  of the recently rescued dogs from a puppy farm. We are inundated with requests and offers of homes, foster care etc. These dogs are completely unsocialised and require a lot of time and patience from our team. When the time is right we will take into consideration what type of  home is best for each dogs. There are 9 dogs in total and this may be 9 home or less from the hundreds of offers. Puppy farm dogs


Wicklow spca recently assisted our colleagues in the Ispca with the rescue of numerous dogs from a dog breeding situation . These dogs are in their own lockdown and seek any hiding place possible, backing into corners or hiding behind their beds. Totally unsocialised and fearful of every sound and movement. Staff are working round the clock to help them adjust and live life again. Time and patience


We recently admitted a large number of dogs which were rescued from a puppy farm situation. The dogs are in their own lockdown. Every movement sends them running into corners , staring into space and seeking a hiding place. We will work with our experts and do our very best to bring security, safety and joy back into their lives. Unfortunately we cannot take any expressions of interest of homes for these dogs at the moment but would great appreciate it if you could contribute financially to their care . Dog socialisation classes


With the easing of restrictions Emmaline from Citizen Canine Ireland will commence some dog classes from Sat 8th May and Monday evenings from the 10th May. Please contact Emmaline for further information
