Animal welfare grant
Wicklow spca would like to acknowledge the support and allocation of funding from the Department of Agriculture to help animal welfare organisations continue in the work for the year ahead. Continuous development
Over the last number of years we have focused on improving our facility and providing a better standard of care to our animals. To date this has included a new mother and kittens cattery, an indoor heated dog kennels replaced all our external timber kennels, a purpose built dog park was developed. Our dog isolation unit is used all the time for so many cases of dogs in need of medical attention, recovering from surgery, young puppies, or dogs who are too scared and need time to get used to human interaction. Madraí Faoi Ghlas
Congratulation to Una and her dog Prince who will feature on the RTE programme Madrai Faoi Ghlas which will air at the end of August. Vet Ellen Hegarty and behaviourist Paula Doohan will deal with dog issues such as separation anxiety, aggression or simply chewing up the furniture and help owners get to the root of the problem. Prince is a rescue collie, adopted by Una from Wicklow spca.
